Educational purpose

Our courses, articles, templates and assessment reports are educational resources. They are written to help practitioners understand privacy and AI governance concepts and apply them sensibly. They are not legal advice, and using them does not create a lawyer-client relationship.

Jurisdictional differences

We deliberately teach the principles that recur across the GDPR, the UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act, US state privacy laws and comparable regimes. Those regimes differ in definitions, thresholds, timelines and enforcement. A control that satisfies one law may not satisfy another. Always confirm the position in the jurisdictions that apply to you.

Assessment results

The Privacy Readiness Assessment produces an indicative maturity view based on your own answers. It is a prioritisation aid, not an audit, certification or compliance opinion. Scores depend entirely on the accuracy of the responses provided.

Templates and checklists

Templates are starting points that need tailoring to your processing activities, sector and risk appetite. Adopting a template unchanged is unlikely to be defensible on its own.

Currency of content

Privacy law and AI regulation move quickly. We review and update material regularly, but there may be periods where guidance, case law or enforcement practice has moved ahead of what is published here.
